Jay Nicolas Sario’s Trash Bag Pants – Project Runway Season 7
In Season 7 of Project Runway, Micheal Kors challenged the contestants to create an entire look with items only found at a hardware shop. The most amazing creation came from Jay Nicholas Sario, a tape and trash bag bustier, belt, and pants. I mean c’mon! Those pants look like leather! And that belt! Jay has some serious skills proving that regardless of the materials, it all comes down to your craftsmanship.
We like the look of: Orly Cogan
Orly Cogan is a textile artist who finds antique textiles and recreates them with her fantastical scenery and labor intensive embroidery. She sees herself as a “collaborator” with women of the past who began the textile projects decades earlier. Her mysterious narratives are lovely indeed.
